Posted on 30. May, 2010 by Johnathan in Gallery, Recreation, Uncategorized
I recently got an email with some neat pics from Vancouver and wanted to share them. Also included are additional pics of key points about the trip and a bonus pic taken in Busan after going to a traditional Chinese medicine doctor (horse incident). See if you can find:
- kinetic lights
- Robson Square ice rink
- the Winter Olympic Biathlon
- a crying toddler
- Granville Bridge
- a Canadian flag
- rhubarb pie, the first attempt
- a snow sculpture
- twin brothers
- 2 nieces
- 2 nephews
- 2 cousins
- a difficult horse
- me in intense agony right after getting bucked off the horse (hint: I’m hiding it)
- the long road back from the ranch
- “bad blood spots”
- our $50 shuttle to the Whistler Olympic Park
- a snow Inukshuk
- a crabby restaurant with happy people
- me in a hospital bed x2
- an actress x2
- an extra fat cat x 1.5
- Olympic pins
- a roughed up hockey player
- bubble tea
- a photophobe
- a pretty puppy
The embedded collage is probably as big as your screen, so just click a couple of times to enlarge.

spots on your back, did they work?

actually, those spots are the result a moist, vibrating suction cups that supposedly pull “bad blood” to the surface where it can be expunged. Not sure how well it compares with control groups, but it’s pretty common here. I went twice and found benefit in the massage, so I just used my own massager at home and it really helped loosen things up, which relieved the onset of acute, shooting pain. Many nights I’d isolate a spot on my upper bum and attack the tightness before bed. Good to go now though. Sadly, the very day I finally worked out freely with full rotation was the same day I broke my arm. At least I have an excuse for not exercising now!

Canadian OCF: Did you just say you broke your arm?? You are having a really tough year… forget Busan… come to Masan… its safer here… the worst injury I’ve had here was shin splints a few months ago… well, if you’re not convinced, at least come have a meal with us and check out the place… the visit you promised us a couple months ago… we’re still waiting
Canadian/Korean OCFs: We love the collage!! and we would love for you to send us the pics with all of us at the restuarant and the pic of torches all lit up… we tried to get a photo of the torches but we were so busy, we never got around to it… thanks a bunch… and we hope to see you soon!!

Hello Ms. OCF! Yep, a couple bumps this year, but I’ll be good to go in about 3 weeks (and a little rehab). Looking forward to Masan and the Indian food you spoke of. I’ll get on the pics as soon as I get a chance. Please send my best to my Korean OCF. Hope all is well.

Great to see you yesterday! It was especially cool since I was recently wondering how you’d been doing. How are you liking food and nutrition? When are you going to become the next Lee Hyo-ree?

Pretty Quick. My arm is now out of the cast and I can type with two hands again, so I’ll be posting soon.

We were glad to see you back in form. We had a great trip out to the coast for Leighann’s wedding, and then brought Katie back for a week for a family gathering on Chris’ side. Katie goes back next Monday. We enjoyed a small birthday party for Mom on Sunday, and celebrated another birthday on Monday. Other than that, I think everything is just par for the course. Happy to see that you are starting to have a fully functioning second arm. We will talk to you again.
