Parents Day (or Nurimaru Part II)

North America celebrates Mother’s & Father’s day separately, but in Korea they parsimoniously merge them into one ultimate, mega-amazing Parent’s Day. This was set a couple of weeks ago and we enjoyed a nice lunch near a temple called Yong-gun Sa, followed by a digestive walk around Nurimaru–a 10 minute drive apart. I failed to take pics of the inside last time, so I’ll include them here as a type of Nurimaru part II. As you can see, these were taken when I had two functioning arms… sniff, sniff.

It was lovely to spend the day with you and my parents. The Korean traditional restaurant looks better than in the pictures above. The food was good and I’d like to take your family there some day. I know it was hard for you to sit down on the floor, though. Having time with people you love the most is always fun. Hopefully my brother will be in town so we can all go next time!

Agreed, these pics don’t do it justice and the food was beautifully laid out. If I weren’t afraid of being rude, I would have taken some pics of it and the cool bamboo rice dish.
