Happy 60th, Mom!!
Posted on 05. Jul, 2010 by Johnathan in Special Occasions
Happy Birthday, Mom! I hope you have a spectaculundrously-amazing day. Yes, so wonderful that in fact new words are created for it. I’m sorry that I can’t be there to do the Grouse Grind with you, but instead I’ll try to make it more interesting for you to go on your own. Hwajung and I sent you a few things in the mail that I hope get there well. The fun stuff will be late, but you might have something there already (talk to Sandy). It’s great that you’ve finally got some time to yourself; you earned it more than anyone! Take care and do everything and anything you want. Let us know how it goes when you get the chance.
Joyous regards and splendid wishings,
The person you named Johnathan

How are you going to spend your 60th b-day?
I wish I were there and could celebrate the day in person.
I extend to you all my best wishes for your health and happiness. Happy bday again!!

Thank you for the wishes HwaJung This year we had a nieces wedding to attend on the 3rd of July and on the 4th of July I did a 16 k run to start building up my distance to try to do the Victoria marathon in October, not really a run but finish the marathon distance. I did a marathon when I was 18 but I walked that one . One of the things I would like to accomplish for my 60 th year. I will be coming to Korea in October for 2 weeks too Rick and I stayed in the trailer for the 3 days we were on the coast so when needed to pack everything up and hook the trailer up and come home. Sandy worked today but yesterday she brought me an awesome birthday cake. It had whipped cream icing with fresh melons and strawberries on it.

So we have been watching for new updates, but there doesn’t appear to be anything. Will you be putting anything new up in the future?

You’re right, sorry. I’ve been pretty busy with life and the blog has suffered. When I started, I wanted to send a lot of information about what life is like in Korea and I think to a good part I’ve accomplished that, so I’ll probably keep the amount of posts I do low. There are still some things I’d like to show and many pictures I have to share, but everything takes time. All I can say is I’ll try.
That said, I’m off to take a volunteer group out to pick up some loose garbage from Oncheonjang (around the urban art gallery near my home). We put the program on hold for a few months, but I’m looking forward to adding a bit to our 200+ Kg collected.

Hey Mom, yeah, but I’ll try to get something up this weekend. I live above the gallery, but sadly it’s being renovated and they are tiling most of the walls. Hence, it’s diminishing more each month. Many of the pictures I took are no longer there (I didn’t post everything, though I’d like to post more). Really looking forward to your visit.
